City of Crookston issued the following announcement on Sept. 23.
The City of Crookston is now accepting applications for the position of Payroll/Accounting Clerk. This position is responsible for the administration and operation of the City’s bi-weekly payroll and assist in administering the benefits program. The position will also perform account payable functions of the City in creating claims for inclusion in two Council packets per month. This position will also perform cash receipting functions. These duties will be under the direction of the Finance Director. Minimum requirements include: two-year degree with emphasis in accounting, bookkeeping and related subjects; three years experience in payroll; one year experience in accounts payable; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access and working knowledge of computer applications. Starting salary is $20.87/hr. with the potential to increase to $23.19/hr. after six months.
