City of East Grand Forks issued the following announcement on Oct.1.
The City has been experiencing extremely high volumes of water passing through the sanitary sewer system. We would like to remind residents that it is a violation of State Statute to have a sump pump connected to the City's sanitary sewer.
We ask that residents check their sump pump connections to ensure thy are not in violation of the State Statute.
