After an introspective look toward the future, State Rep. Dan Fabian (R-Roseau) has announced he will not seek reelection for another term.
Fabian, who has served in the House for nine years, said service in the legislature was one of the most rewarding and enjoyable experiences of his life. He represented District 01A and served as the chair of the Environment and Natural Resources Finance Committee. Fabian is also the Minority Whip.
The decision was made difficult because of the tremendous support Fabian said he received on a daily basis.
“Adding to the difficulty is the fact I enjoy giving voice to the great folks who sent me to St. Paul,” Fabian said in a release. “I am eternally grateful for the support I have received and over the next several months I will continue to work for the people just as I have over the past years.”
Prior to seeking office in 2010, Fabian was a high school teacher and coached track and cross country.
