Sen. Scott Jensen is supportive of Gov. Tim Walz’s decision to allow various outdoor recreation activities to resume as the state of Minnesota prepares to reopen amid the coronavirus pandemic.
“I appreciate Gov. Walz’s tireless work and his willingness to listen to the people of Minnesota,” Jensen said in a press release on the Minnesota Senate Republicans Caucus website. “We have a long way to go, but I am thankful that Minnesotans will have access to recreational activities as the weather improves. Hopefully it will bolster the physical and mental health of many who are feeling burdened by the implications of the stay-at-home order.”
Among the facilities that can now stay open under the governor’s executive order are public and private parks and trails, outdoor shooting ranges and game farms, golf courses and driving ranges, and bait shops for live bait. Facilities providing marina services, dock installation, and boat and off-highway vehicle sales and repair can also continue operations.
