Congratulations to Karen and her Staff at Little Leaners Daycare in Ada for being awarded the Peacetime Emergency Grant this month. Our childcare providers are vital to our community and economy not just during this pandemic but always. Thank you for all you do for daycare centers and for the City of Ada.
Karen Devos of Little Learners "After I interviewed for this article, Little Learners was awarded the Peacetime Emergency Grant for the month of April and the PPP SBA loan to ensure that we can stay open and adequately pay the incredible staff who are showing up every day. While financial concerns are temporarily alleviated for us, it remains very real for providers around the country. If providers close their doors for good, people with children will struggle to return to work. That is the reality. Thanks to those working hard behind the scenes to push for more funding... and thanks to those who are working every day to provide care for our children. To my LL team -- to the ones who show up every day -- I know this is hard and stressful. You are all heroes and I appreciate you more than I could ever show"
