City of Crookston issued the following announcement on July 18.
The Crookston Police Department is in the process of implementing a body worn camera program. Per Minnesota Statute 626.8473, the Crookston Police Department is providing for public comment prior to implementation and for final policy review.
The Crookston Police Department draft policy; Use of Body-Worn Camera is available for review (see link below). Anyone wishing to comment on the implementation of body worn cameras or policy review should do so electronically or by mail using the email and mailing address listed below.
There will also be an opportunity for in-person public comment on July 27th, 2020 at 7:00pm in the council chambers at the City Hall building located at 124 North Broadway, Crookston, MN 56716.
