City Of Fosston issued the following announcement on July 22.
Joint Statement of Mayor Offerdahl, Vice Mayor Dufault, and City Administrator Heide
In response to the widely publicized advertisement along Highway 2 on the west end of Fosston, we would like to make the following statement:
The City of Fosston does not own or operate the electronic billboard on the west end of the City. Advertising content is the sole responsibility of the sign company.
We strive for all our entrances to the City of Fosston be welcoming and inviting. The image on the billboard does not reflect the community values shared by all
of Fosston and Northern Minnesota.
We hope compassion, kindness and respect for elected officials, our community and neighbors will be the goal for each of us.
