The East Grand Forks Civil Service is accepting applications for a fulltime Lineman position in the Water & Light Department.
Responsibilities: Performs intermediate skilled technical work installing and maintaining the utility’s electrical distribution systems and related components, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Electric and Water Distribution Superintendent and Distribution System Foreman.

Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited vocational , technical or community college and considerable experience in electric line maintenance. Journey Lineman preferred, but will consider Apprentice Lineman. Valid Minnesota Class A Commercial Driver’s License with air brake endorsement and MN State Journeyman License. MN Electrical Lineman License preferred. Apprentice: six months to two years experience in electric line construction, maintenance and repair while making satisfactory progress to journeyman status. Journeyman: four years experience in electric line construction, maintenance and repair.
Special Requirements
Electrical line workers certification within two (2) years. CPR/first aid certification within six (6) months. Applicable position, department, organization and professional training will be provided and must be completed upon hire and on an ongoing basis. Valid commercial driver's license in the State of MN with Air Brake Endorsement
Salary
$29.53-$40.34 per hour depending on qualifications
