City Of Rockford issued the following announcement on Mar. 30.
WEAR BLUE FRIDAY: April is National Child Abuse Prevention & Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Child abuse and sexual assault are serious problems affecting every segment of our community and finding solutions requires action from everyone.
We all have a role to play. Make sure to watch for content on these topics throughout the month of April and learn how to get involved to make change.
All content is brought to you by the Mayor’s Task Force on Domestic Violence & Human Trafficking. Our first challenge to you is that you remember to WEAR BLUE ON FRIDAY to begin the month in support of growing a better tomorrow for all children.
