The Crookston Public Library will be closed until Wednesday, April 27 due to flooding in the area. Our special thanks to the city administrators, RJ Zavoral and Sons, Inc., Polk County Emergency Management, Crookston Emergency Operations Center, Crookston Fire and Police Departments, City of Crookston staff and many volunteers who are working to protect the building! We are grateful to Governor Walz for declaring a state of emergency and sending in the National Guard to help with flood fighting efforts.
Currently, library staff have boxed up irreplaceable items from the library’s collection. If further assistance is needed to protect the library’s collection, Lake Agassiz Regional Library will put out a call for volunteers.
