Public Input Opportunity for The Forks MPO Streets & Highway Plan Update

The Forks Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) will hold an open house on Thursday, November 3rd between 5pm and 7pm at the Campbell Library to introduce the Streets and Highway Plan Update project and collect preliminary feedback from the public.

Attendees will be asked to identify challenges and needs related to transportation in the Grand Forks-East Grand Forks metro.

Members of the project team and MPO staff will be available to answer questions and receive input. There will be no formal presentation. Informational boards and comment forms will be available for residents to learn more about the project and submit feedback. Written comments will be accepted through Nov. 23, 2022, and may be submitted at the open house, via mail to The Forks MPO (255 N 4th Street, Grand Forks, ND 58201), through the project website, or directly to one of the project contacts listed below.

 ABOUT THE FORKS MPO:

The Grand Forks-East Grand Forks Metropolitan Planning Organization provides a forum for public officials, citizens, and other interest groups to establish policies and plans to effectively deal with various metropolitan issues. The principal role of the MPO is to harmonize the activities of federal, state, and local agencies; and to render assistance and encourage public participation in the development of the metro area. The MPO is involved in community development assistance, environmental and intergovernmental coordination, and area-wide multi-modal transportation (auto, bus, bike, walking) planning and programming. 

 ACCESSIBILITY:

The MPO will make every reasonable accommodation to provide an accessible meeting facility for all persons. Appropriate provisions for the hearing and visually challenged or persons with limited English proficiency will be made if the meeting conductors are notified 5 days prior to the meeting date, if possible.
