Win-E-Mac Elementary School issued the following announcement on Feb. 15.
The Snow Fort Unit in Mrs Burd's class got to be during Snofest this year due to the wonderful weather! The Snow Fort Unit works on the social skills of taking turns, patience, working with others, kindness, and much more!
We even had our primary elementary students have a "Cops/Kids Day" where our friends from the Polk County Sherriff's Department came to build snow forts together, and talk to the kids about kindness, working with others, and being great citizens. What a great Week!
