How many Fisher Public School District students took their MCA and MTAS Reading tests in 2021-22 school year?

Fisher Public School District ranked fifth in the Polk County for test participation, with 111 students taking the Reading portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of Fisher Public School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year rose by 3.7% over the previous year.

Fisher Public School District's students achieved an average Reading proficiency rate of 48% in 2021-22 school year.

Sixth grade students stood out with 38% of them exceeding standards in Reading, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, eighth grade students had the most room for improvement, with 50% not meeting the expected standards.

Fisher Public School District encompasses schools within Polk County and has a main office in Fisher.

Minnesota students take the MCA annually (or the MTAS, for students with cognitive disabilities) to determine their academic readiness. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed Math and Reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.

Minnesota Department of Education issues could lead to data irregularities.
