Norman County had unemployment rate of 5.7% in 2021

Norman County recorded an unemployment rate of 5.7% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 185 people out of the 6,500 living in Norman County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Norman County has increased compared to the 4.9% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Norman County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 4%.

Of the 3,067 people who had a job during that time, 5 were employed in the Armed Forces and 3,062 belonged to the civilian labor force.
