871 students enrolled in Norman County schools in 2024-25 school year

There were 871 students enrolled in Norman County schools in the 2024-25 school year, 3.2% less than the previous year, according to reports from the Minnesota Department of Education.

In terms of gender distribution, the student body in Norman County comprised 51.5% boys, with girls representing the remaining 48.5%.

Data also showed that white students made up 78.6% of the student body, the largest percentage in Norman County schools, followed by Hispanic students with 11.3%, 8% American Indian students, 2% multiracial students and 0.1% Black students.

Ada-Borup-West Elementary had the highest enrollment among Norman County's four schools in the 2024-25 school year, welcoming 370 students.

With more than 870,000 students enrolled, Minnesota's public school system is the 10th-largest in the United States. As of 2025 the student-to-teacher ratio in the state’s public schools is 15 to 1, on par with the national average.
