Marshall County: 2% more students were enrolled in 2024-25 school year

There were 1,469 students enrolled in Marshall County schools in the 2024-25 school year, 2% more than the previous year, according to reports from the Minnesota Department of Education.

In terms of gender distribution, the student body in Marshall County comprised 50.3% boys, with girls representing the remaining 49.7%.

Data also showed that white students made up 88.8% of the student body, the largest percentage in Marshall County schools, followed by Hispanic students with 6.4%, 2% multiracial students, 1.5% American Indian students, 0.7% Black students, 0.4% Asian students and 0.1% Other Indigenous Peoples students.

Warren Elementary had the highest enrollment among Marshall County's 10 schools in the 2024-25 school year, welcoming 316 students.

With more than 870,000 students enrolled, Minnesota's public school system is the 10th-largest in the United States. As of 2025 the student-to-teacher ratio in the state’s public schools is 15 to 1, on par with the national average.
