City of East Grand Forks issued the following announcement on Oct. 12.
Starting Monday, October 12th the VFW Memorial Arena is now open for walking/jogging Monday through Friday from 9am to 3pm. Reminder that all walkers must follow all COVID guidelines as posted at the building entrances.
Community walking must conclude by 3pm each weekday to allow for COVID capacity restrictions to be met while evening on-ice activities take place.
The Civic Center will remain closed to walkers for now but will be re-evaluated once the arena opens for the winter season and is staffed more regularly.
