City of Crookston issued the following announcement on Nov. 27.
Thank you for your interest in employment with the Crookston Police Department. The CPD will be hiring a full-time police officer in the coming weeks and is establishing an eligibility roster for a possible vacancy in the near future. As part of the application materials you should find a copy of the complete ADA Job Description for Police Officer and a City of Crookston Police Department Employment Application. Please complete the application thoroughly and sign all forms where applicable. Do not put “see resume” in any spaces. You may write “N/A” if a section does not apply to you. Please include a cover letter, resume and proof of all certifications and licenses you reference within these documents.
Completed applications will be processed as they are received. Applications may be mailed, emailed, faxed, or hand delivered to the Crookston Police Department, Attention Chief of Police, 321 West Robert St, Crookston, MN 56716, pbiermaier@crookston.mn.us or fax to 218-281-1410.
Upon review of a successfully submitted application the written and physical agility testing will be scheduled by invitation and appointment only at this time. Interviews will be scheduled based on the number of qualifying candidates, the availability of the interview boards and the availability of the candidate. Background investigations will be conducted based on selected candidates and departmental need. Please note; in an effort to expedite the hiring process as much as possible a Background Packet may be sent to you prior to testing and an interview. Please complete the packet as soon as possible.
